Role: Teacher of Religious Studies
Location: Brighton
Contract: Temporary until May 2024
Hours: Part time (Wednesday – Friday)
Salary: MPR/UPR
Start: January 2024
Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a mixed secondary school located in Brighton, graded ‘GOOD’ in all areas during Ofsted’s most recent visit in October 2023. The school are seeking a teacher of Religious Studies to join their department from January 2024, on a part time basis until May2024. The successful teacher would be required to teach Religious Studies across KS3 and KS4, 3 days per week, Wednesday – Friday. This post would suit a newly qualified teacher as well as more experienced teachers. The successful candidate would benefit from a high level of support and continuing professional development.
Ideally you will:
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner with an enjoyment of working with young people.
- Have effective classroom management and an ability to demonstrate resilience in working with challenging behaviour.
- Have effective time management; able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets.
- Be an excellent team player, genuinely committed to working in partnership with others.
- Be an excellent communicator to a variety of audiences with good interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
- Be a reflective practitioner committed to developing own teaching and learning strategies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
