Are you a qualified Religious Education Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity from September?

We are working with a mainstream secondary school in the Sutton Coldfield area that is looking for a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire students through engaging discussions, critical thinking and a deeper understanding of religion, beliefs, ethics and the world around them.

The Role

As a Religious Education Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver engaging RE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Encourage students to develop their critical thinking and understanding of different religious and non-religious beliefs.
  • ‍ Create engaging lessons that encourage discussion, debate and independent thought.
  • Establish a positive classroom environment built around high expectations and mutual respect.
  • Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support their development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider school community.
  • Inspire students to explore different perspectives and develop their understanding of the world around them.

 

⭐ What We're Looking For

We're looking for a qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring Religious Education Teacher who can engage students and bring the subject to life.

You should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Religious Education within a UK secondary school.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 RE curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to create engaging and thought-provoking lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for Religious Education and supporting young people.
  • A reliable, professional and adaptable approach.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete the required safeguarding checks.
