Position: Religious Education Teacher
Location: Ormskirk
Contract: Full-time
Rate of Pay: From £165 per day (Dependant on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable RE Teacher to join a dedicated Humanities department. The successful candidate will inspire students across KS3 and KS4 , delivering engaging lessons that explore world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical questions.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering high‑quality RE lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Inspiring students through creative teaching methods and real‑world connections
- Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress
- Creating a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, tolerance, and open‑minded discussion
- Contributing to departmental development and whole‑school initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Enhance DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong subject knowledge in RE, Philosophy, or related fields
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting young people
- Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills
- A team player who is willing to contribute to school life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
