Location: Preston
Salary: From £170 per day (Dependant on experience)
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: September 2026
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Religious Education to join our successful and supportive school community. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to inspiring students and promoting thoughtful discussion around faith, ethics, and moral issues.
The Role
- Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons
- Encourage critical thinking, respect, and understanding of diverse beliefs
- Assess, track, and support student progress effectively
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it
- Enhances DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A strong subject knowledge of Religious Education
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
