The Role
As a Religious Education Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Encourage students to explore a range of religious, philosophical, and ethical perspectives
- Foster critical thinking, discussion, and debate within the classroom
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students can succeed
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the curriculum
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to drive achievement
- Contribute to the wider Humanities department and school community
The Ideal Religious Education Teacher
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has a degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject
- Possesses strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Religious Education
- Can deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills
- Has high expectations for student attainment and behaviour
- Is committed to supporting students academically and personally
- Works effectively as part of a collaborative team
