Reception Class Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Primary School - Warrington
Start Date: After February Half Term
A welcoming and nurturing primary school in Warrington is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Class Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis, starting after the February half term.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their learning journey and who thrives in a busy, caring Early Years environment.
The Role:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
- Work closely with children to support their learning, development, and emotional wellbeing.
- Assist with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and play-based learning.
- Support children with personal care routines where required.
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Observe, record, and contribute to assessments of pupil progress.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children in Early Years or Reception (school or nursery-based).
- Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for Early Years education.
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Be proactive and able to use their initiative.
- Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
