Position: Reception Teacher
Location: Cheadle, SK8
Salary: £130 – £190 per day
Contract Type: Short‑term, Part Time

As a Reception Teacher through Teaching Personnel, you will be encouraged to bring your own style, spark curiosity, and build confidence in every child through hands‑on, play‑based experiences.

Reception Teacher – Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver purposeful, engaging learning experiences aligned with the EYFS framework.
- Support key areas of early development: phonics, communication & language, early maths, and personal, social and emotional skills.
- Use observations and formative assessment to track progress and plan next steps effectively.
- Adapt teaching approaches to support all learners, including those with SEND, EAL or SEMH needs.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO and SLT to maintain a nurturing and consistent Early Years environment.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on progress and wellbeing.
- Keep accurate records and contribute to children’s learning journeys.
- Take part in the wider school community, including staff meetings and Early Years initiatives.
Reception Teacher – Key Requirements:
- QTS (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Secure understanding of the EYFS framework and early child development.
- Creative, engaging teaching strategies that promote learning through play.
- Strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and supporting every child’s wellbeing.
- Ability to create a warm, stimulating classroom that encourages independence and curiosity.
- A reflective, professional approach that aligns with the Teachers’ Standards.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
