Job description

An Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in the Macclesfield area is looking for a successful Religious Studies teacher to join their team from Easter 2021. The ideal candidate must be able to teach Religious Education confidently up to KS4, and the ability to teach up to KS5 would be preferable.

  • Salary paid in line with your scale point MPS-UPS (GBP25,714 – GBP41,604)

As a Catholic faith school, a requirement of this post is that the applicant be a practising Catholic. As a result, in addition to the two professional references we would usually require from a teacher, we will also need to approach your parish priest in order to procure a reference from them. Applicants who possess the CCRS are actively encouraged to apply for this post. 

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as experience contributing to the review and improvement of departmental resources. They will be highly skilled in differentiating and tailoring learning resources to varying pupil needs and possess excellent subject knowledge. They will be confident in their classroom management skills and be willing to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
