We are searching for a compassionate Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to help students with SEN and mental health issues thrive both academically and emotionally.
Position Overview:
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students facing SEN and mental health challenges. Working closely with our experienced teaching staff, you will contribute to creating a supportive atmosphere where every student can excel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN and mental health needs.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and mental health support strategies.
- Foster a caring and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist in adapting teaching materials to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Offer emotional and social support to help students build self-esteem and resilience.
- Monitor and document student progress, sharing insights with teachers and parents.
- Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Create a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field.
- A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN and mental health challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach.
- Strong organizational abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Experience working with children, young people, or individuals with SEN/mental health issues is advantageous but not mandatory.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
