About the Role
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join our committed and supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students to explore different beliefs, values, and cultures while developing critical thinking, respect, and understanding in a diverse learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging RE lessons across [KS3/KS4/KS5]
- Encourage thoughtful discussion and respectful debate on religious, ethical, and philosophical topics
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing clear feedback
- Differentiate lessons to support learners of all abilities
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
- Promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and leadership
✅ Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject
- Experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for fostering inclusive and respectful dialogue
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
Desirable
- Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Religious Studies
- Ability to contribute to extracurricular or enrichment programmes
- Knowledge of multiple faith perspectives and ethical frameworks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
