About the Role

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of well-regarded secondary schools and multi-academy trusts across Liverpool who are seeking passionate and committed Secondary School Teachers to fill a range of vacancies.

We are recruiting across all subject specialisms, with a particular demand for Core Subject (Maths, English and Science). Opportunities are available for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with opportunities for Long term and Permanent roles.

Responsibilities

As a Secondary School Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 where applicable). You will play a key role in inspiring students to understand the world around them – past and present – while teachers of other subject areas will contribute to a broad and ambitious curriculum.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to create inclusive, engaging learning environments and uphold high standards of teaching, behaviour and achievement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess creative, engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire curiosity, critical thinking and subject interest across your specialism.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varying abilities, including SEND.
  • Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students effectively for assessments, coursework and examinations.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning where appropriate.
  • Participate in school events, meetings and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • A degree in a relevant subjects- essential.
  • Recent UK secondary teaching experience- essential.
  • References from the 24 months- essential.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Availability for interview and trial days where required.
