English Teacher 

Start Date: Autumn Term (Full Time, Temporary) 

Location: Birmingham, Secondary School 

Salary: MPS/UPS (in line with experience)


 

About the role: 

Here at Teaching Personnel we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our dedicated secondary school team from the Autumn Term. The successful candidate will be a strong classroom practitioner with exceptional classroom management skills and a proven ability to engage, challenge and inspire students of all abilities.

Role Responibilites: 

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 if applicable).

  • Maintain outstanding classroom management, fostering a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.

  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and department resources.

Role Requirements: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English.

  • DBS registered on the Update Service.

  • Strong track record of classroom management and maintaining high standards of behaviour.

  • Demonstrable experience in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging English lessons.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A genuine passion for teaching English and helping students achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
