Psychology Students & Graduates

If you have recently graduated – or are in the middle of a degree in Psychology, we have several active positions for September & the remainder of this academic year that call for individuals with a deep understanding of behaviours and child psychologies.

We are currently looking for people that can assist pupils that have been diagnosed with Social, Emotional and Mental Health conditions, such as anxiety and depression, within local specialist teaching facilities (STFs) and special educational needs schools. The role will mainly revolve around getting to know your student, developing wellbeing plans, and recognising patterns of behaviours.

If you’re looking toward a career based of your degree – whether that will be in social work, care or counselling, these positions will be great for your practical development, getting to implement a lot of the skills you’ve learned throughout your degree, and make a real difference in a child’s life.

Working alongside us:

  • Pay ranging from £77 - £82 per day, depending on the severity of the needs you work alongside.
  • If you’re still in education, full flexibility over your chosen hours.
  • Numerous long-term placements, with the option of becoming a permanent member of staff within the schools/centres if you’d like.
  • Access to multiple free or heavily discounted CPD accredited courses to help further your career.
  • Holiday Pay

To work through us, you will need:

  • A real desire to implement your learnings to help your pupil overcome their barriers.
  • An Enhanced DBS Check (We can help you with this if you currently don’t have one)
  • Complete our free safeguarding course.
  • Have the Right to Work in the UK
  • If you have been out of the country for longer than six months in the last five years – we will need a valid clearance check from said country.

If you are interested in finding more about these positions and would like to be shortlisted, please apply and I will be in touch as soon as possible!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
