Salary: From £172.98 per day

Contract: Full-Time
Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and dedicated PRU Teacher to join a supportive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is committed to helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Working with students who may have experienced challenges in mainstream education, you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment where every pupil can succeed.
The Role
As a PRU Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs and abilities.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students.
- Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies that promote positive outcomes.
- Monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching where required.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, families and external agencies.
- Contribute to a culture of inclusion, respect and high expectations.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs, SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Is resilient, adaptable and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Has a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
- Can inspire, motivate and engage students who may be disengaged from education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
