Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated PRU English Teacher to support students who may have experienced exclusion, SEMH needs, ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, attachment difficulties, or significant disruption to their education.

The Role

As a PRU Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons to small groups of pupils, adapting your teaching to meet individual needs while creating a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Use effective behaviour management and restorative approaches.
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies.

What We're Looking For

  • QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience with SEMH, SEND, Alternative Provision, or challenging behaviour is desirable.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Resilience, patience, and adaptability.
  • A passion for supporting vulnerable young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
