Teaching Assistant – KS2 | Sunderland | September Start

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming partner primary schools in Sunderland from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development within Key Stage 2.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom. You will work closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted interventions, and support pupils in reaching their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2.
• Leading small group interventions to improve pupils' progress.
• Providing 1:1 support for pupils who require additional assistance.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting an inclusive learning environment.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and school staff to meet individual pupil needs.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with pupils within Key Stage 2.
• Is confident leading small group sessions and delivering targeted interventions.
• Has experience providing effective 1:1 support to pupils with varying needs.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every child succeed.
• Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience (desirable but not essential).
