Primary School Teacher (Year 3/4) – Maternity Cover

Location: Felixstowe, Suffolk
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Temporary (Maternity Cover)
Salary: MPS (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Felixstowe on a maternity cover basis, starting in September 2026.

This role will involve teaching a mixed Year 3/4 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire and motivate pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
  • Uphold high expectations of behaviour and achievement

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (preferably Years 3 or 4)
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
  • Be enthusiastic, creative, and adaptable
  • Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
