We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Bournemouth from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 2 practitioner who is dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and learning, while creating a positive and engaging classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach a Year 5 class full time
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress effectively
  • Establish high expectations for behaviour and learning
  • Use strong behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm, purposeful classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A nurturing and proactive approach to supporting pupils
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for primary education and pupil achievement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
