Maternity Cover | January 2027 Start

Full-Time

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming school in South Shields from January 2027 to cover a maternity leave position within a mixed Year 3/4 class.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to make a positive impact in a supportive school environment, delivering engaging lessons and helping pupils achieve their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons to mixed-age learners
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
