Primary SEND Teacher – Make an Impact Where It Matters

Are you an experienced Primary Teacher who knows how to adapt, think on your feet and create a classroom where every child has the opportunity to succeed?

Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a full-time Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEND setting in Yeovil from October 2026. We are looking for someone confident, resilient and experienced who can hit the ground running and provide consistent, engaging teaching from the outset.

The Role

You will take responsibility for delivering accessible and meaningful learning to pupils with additional needs. This is a hands-on teaching position where building relationships is just as important as delivering the curriculum.

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons suited to individual learning levels.
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet a range of SEND needs.
• Creating a structured, positive and supportive classroom environment.
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and wider professionals.
• Monitoring progress and celebrating achievements, however big or small.
• Supporting pupils with their emotional regulation, communication and engagement with learning.

Who Are We Looking For?

This opportunity would suit an experienced teacher who can confidently step into a specialist environment and get started from day one.

You should be patient, adaptable and comfortable working with children who require a more individualised approach to education. Previous experience within SEND, specialist provision or supporting pupils with additional needs is highly desirable.

Most importantly, you will need to understand that progress looks different for every pupil and be passionate about helping children reach their individual potential.
