About the Role
As a Year 5/6 Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school, delivering engaging lessons that inspire confidence and a love of learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Preparing pupils for SATs while maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum
- Assessing, monitoring and tracking pupil progress
- Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5/6 experience desirable)
- Has a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation
- Is passionate about raising attainment and supporting all learners
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Is committed, reliable and able to build positive relationships
This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
