The Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 3 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in the Vale of Glamorgan. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire pupils and support their progress across the curriculum.

You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils feel encouraged to participate, challenge themselves and achieve their potential. Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, leadership staff and parents, you will play a key role in supporting both academic achievement and personal development.

The school is looking for a teacher who can foster a love of learning while maintaining high expectations and promoting positive behaviour throughout the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the Curriculum for Wales.
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children can thrive.
  • Differentiate learning to support pupils with varying abilities, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members to enhance pupil outcomes.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Encourage confidence, resilience and independence in learning.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and support extracurricular activities where appropriate.

About You

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching within a primary school setting.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
  • Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Has a good understanding of the Curriculum for Wales.
  • Can effectively support pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.
  • Is enthusiastic, adaptable and passionate about education.
  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with pupils, staff and parents.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Current Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration, or willingness to obtain this.
  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • The right to work in the UK.
