Job description

Year 4 Class Teacher – Full Time – Summer Term – Southampton

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-led primary school in Southampton to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher for the Summer Term.

This is a full-time position with full classroom responsibilities, including planning, preparation, marking, assessment and attendance at staff meetings. The successful candidate will take full ownership of a settled Year 4 class and play a key role in driving progress during this important final term of the academic year.

The school is seeking a practitioner who:

  • Has proven experience teaching within KS2

  • Has strong knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum and age-related expectations

  • Demonstrates secure understanding of assessment and progress tracking

  • Can create an engaging, structured and inclusive learning environment

  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative staff team

This role would suit a confident and reflective teacher who is able to quickly build positive relationships, maintain high expectations, and deliver creative, purposeful lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their best.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
