Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for qualified and enthusiastic Primary Teachers to work across primary schools in Southampton from September 2026.

We are looking for passionate teachers who are committed to creating engaging learning environments and helping pupils achieve their full potential. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to take the next step in your career, we have a range of opportunities available.

The Role

As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs and SEN
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and positively
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school

About You

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have recognised teaching qualifications
  • Are an ECT or experienced teacher
  • Have experience teaching within a primary school setting
  • Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Are passionate about children's learning and development
  • Have excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Are adaptable, reliable and committed
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
