Opportunities are available across different primary year groups and may include class teaching and PPA cover, with flexible part-time positions available.
The Role
As a Part-Time Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and effective lessons across the primary curriculum
- Adapting teaching and learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including children with SEN
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Promoting positive behaviour and managing the classroom in line with school policies
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, parents, and other professionals
- Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress
- Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Taking responsibility for the planning, delivery, and assessment of your class
- Contributing positively to the wider life of the school
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous experience teaching within a primary school setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A flexible, proactive, and positive approach to teaching
- Confidence teaching across a range of primary year groups
- A genuine passion for education and supporting children's development
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
