Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Primary
Location: Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr & Caerphilly
Contract: Full Time and Part Time roles available
Pay Rate: £172.98 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin your teaching journey in a supportive and rewarding environment? This role offers a fantastic opportunity for your teaching hours to count towards your NQT/ECT induction, helping you build valuable experience while developing your skills in the classroom.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic ECT to work within primary schools across Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr, and Caerphilly. You will have the opportunity to teach across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils in developing confidence and a love of learning.

- Teach engaging, well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum

- Work collaboratively with experienced teachers and support staff
- Gain valuable classroom experience that contributes towards your ECT/NQT induction
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:
- An Early Career Teacher (ECT) or newly qualified teacher with QTS
- Eager to develop their teaching practice and build confidence
- Passionate about making a positive impact on young learners
- Flexible, reliable, and committed
- Able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Welsh-speaking skills are desirable but not essential
Requirements
Teaching Personnel will support you in obtaining:
- Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- Two professional references covering the last two years
