Year 2 Teacher – Pontefract (WF8)

Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming primary school in Pontefract (WF8) to recruit a dedicated Year 2 Teacher for a long-term role.

This friendly, community-focused school offers a supportive SLT, a collaborative KS1 team, and well-engaged pupils. You’ll play a key role in guiding a Year 2 class through an important stage, including preparation for KS1 SATs.

The Role

• Deliver engaging KS1 lessons
• Support progress in phonics, reading, writing, and maths
• Prepare pupils for KS1 SATs
• Create a positive, structured classroom
• Work closely with KS1 staff and parents

Requirements

• QTS
• KS1 teaching experience (ideally Year 2)
• Strong phonics knowledge
• Good behaviour management
• DBS on Update Service (or willing to apply)
