Key Stage 1 Teacher (KS1)

Location: Okehampton area, Devon (partner school placement)
Salary: Paid to scale
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2026

A Key Stage 1 Teacher is required for a full-time, long-term position within a partner primary school in the Okehampton area, starting September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and well-established school environment with a strong commitment to early learning, high-quality teaching, and positive pupil outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging KS1 lessons and supporting pupils through the early stages of their primary education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 1
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Develop early literacy and numeracy skills effectively
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the wider school community
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (ECTs with relevant KS1 experience considered)
  • Strong classroom management and organisation skills
  • A creative, nurturing, and proactive teaching approach
  • Commitment to supporting early learning and pupil development
