We are recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teachers to work across a range of welcoming primary schools in Newport from September 2026.
Whether you're an experienced teacher, an ECT looking to build your classroom experience, or simply looking for a change for the new academic year, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
We have opportunities available across Foundation Phase, KS1 and KS2, including day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements.
Depending on the role, your responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Curriculum for Wales
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Supporting pupils of varying abilities, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching where needed
- Working closely with teaching assistants and wider school staff
What We’re Looking For
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
