Job description

Year 3 Teacher – Full Time – Spring Term 2 – Lymington

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join one of our welcoming schools in Lymington for a long-term sickness cover during Spring Term 2.

This is a full-time position in a friendly yet lively Year 3 class. The school is keen to appoint either an experienced teacher or a confident Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is ready to embrace the energy and opportunity that Key Stage 2 brings.

The Role

  • Full-time class teacher for Spring Term 2

  • Full planning, preparation and assessment responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the National Curriculum

  • Maintain clear routines and positive behaviour expectations

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

The class is vibrant and full of personality. They respond well to clear structure, engaging lessons and a teacher who balances warmth with consistency. The successful candidate will feel confident establishing routines quickly and maintaining high expectations from the outset.

Who We’re Looking For

  • An experienced practitioner or a capable ECT with strong classroom presence

  • Secure understanding of lower Key Stage 2 curriculum expectations

  • Calm, organised and proactive in managing behaviour

  • Committed to inclusive practice and supporting all learners

  • Able to work collaboratively within an established and supportive staff team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
