Job description

Full-Time Class Teacher – September Start
Location: Horsham | 1-Form Entry Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time teacher to join our nurturing, one-form entry primary school this September. This role offers full class responsibility and is ideal for a practitioner who values a therapeutic, child-centred approach to education.

Our close-knit school community is built on strong relationships, positive reinforcement, and a deep understanding of pupils’ individual needs. We are looking for someone who is flexible, resilient, and committed to supporting every child to thrive both academically and emotionally.

The role:

  • Full-time class teacher with full responsibility for planning, teaching, and assessment
  • Creating a calm, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Using positive reinforcement strategies to promote confidence and independence
  • Supporting pupils with a range of social, emotional, and learning needs

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a nurturing and therapeutic approach to teaching and behaviour
  • Is adaptable, patient, and resilient in a dynamic classroom environment
  • Builds strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
  • Maintains high expectations while supporting individual needs
  • Is reflective and committed to continuous professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
