Primary Teacher – Alternative Provision
Burgess Hill | 3 Days per Week (Monday–Wednesday) | September Start | Pay to Scale
Are you a passionate and nurturing Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference?
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a supportive Alternative Provision in Burgess Hill from September, working with pupils who benefit from a more personalised and therapeutic approach to education.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in smaller classroom environments, enjoys building strong relationships with pupils, and is committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning.
The Role
- Teach and support primary-aged pupils within an Alternative Provision setting
- Deliver engaging and creative lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Foster a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with support staff and pastoral teams
We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching experience
- Experience working with primary-aged children
- A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
- Strong relationship-building and behaviour management skills
- Experience within SEN, SEMH, PRU, or Alternative Provision settings is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
