Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and adaptable Primary Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in Bournemouth from September 2026. This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

We welcome applications from qualified teachers holding QTS as well as exceptionally experienced Cover Supervisors with a proven track record of leading learning and managing primary-aged pupils.

The successful candidate will be passionate about providing engaging, inclusive and high-quality education to children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, communication difficulties and associated learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor and support pupil progress and achievement.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, families and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour and personal development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred).
  • Alternatively, substantial experience as a Cover Supervisor or unqualified teacher within a primary setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
  • Experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASC and SEMH needs.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
  • A flexible and creative approach to teaching and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
