Part-Time Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: Billingshurst | 1-Form Entry Primary School
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teacher to join our nurturing, one-form entry primary school on a maternity cover basis. This is a part-time role, starting after May half term for 3 days per week, increasing to 4 days per week from September.
This position offers shared class responsibility and is ideal for a practitioner who values a therapeutic, child-centred approach to education.

The role:
- Part-time class teacher with shared responsibility for planning, teaching, and assessment
- Creating a calm, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Using positive reinforcement strategies to promote confidence and independence
- Supporting pupils with a range of social, emotional, and learning needs
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a nurturing and therapeutic approach to teaching and behaviour
- Is adaptable, patient, and resilient in a dynamic classroom environment
- Builds strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Maintains high expectations while supporting individual needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
