Flexible Primary Supply Teacher
Location: Tamworth
Salary: Paid to Scale
Are you a passionate and adaptable primary teacher looking for flexible work in Tamworth? We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Primary Supply Teacher to join our team, supporting a range of local schools across different year groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
- Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and school settings
- Follow lesson plans and maintain continuity of learning
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with each school’s individual behaviour policy
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Daily Responsibilities:
- Arrive promptly at assigned schools, ready to start the day effectively
- Take handover notes or lesson plans from the class teacher or school staff
- Deliver pre-set lessons or plan and teach where required
- Take class registers and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
- Manage classroom behaviour and confidently adapt to each school’s behaviour policy and expectations
- Support pupils with varying abilities and learning needs
- Mark work in line with school policies and provide feedback where necessary
- Communicate with teaching assistants and support staff
- Provide a brief handover report at the end of the day for the returning teacher
- Ensure the classroom is left tidy and organised
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Proven experience teaching in primary settings
- Flexibility to work across different year groups
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different behaviour policies
- Reliable transport and willingness to travel to schools in and around Tamworth
- A proactive, adaptable, and positive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
