Ditch the marking, keep the magic.
Remember why you got into teaching? It was for those lightbulb moments—the instant a child finally grasps a tricky fraction, or discovers a love for reading. It wasn't for the endless Sunday evening lesson planning or the mountain of admin.
At Teaching Personnel, we’re looking for passionate, adaptable, and vibrant Primary Supply Teachers to bring energy and expertise to classroom doors across Reading.
Whether you want the total freedom of flexible day-to-day work or you’re looking to find your next long-term school home, we’ve got local opportunities waiting for you.
Why teach in Reading with Teaching Personnel?
We aren't just another agency dropping you into a random classroom. We know Reading’s education landscape inside and out—from bustling town-centre academies to quiet community primary schools along the Thames.
-
Complete Control Over Your Schedule: Work 1 day a week or 5—you manage your availability through our easy-to-use candidate app.
-
Competitive, Weekly Pay: Paid fairly via PAYE (no hidden umbrella company fees!).
-
Variety & Choice: Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2—tailor your bookings to where your strengths lie.
-
Less Admin, More Teaching: Show up, deliver great lessons, leave on time, and reclaim your evenings.
-
CPD & Career Progression: Access heavily discounted training courses (Classroom Management, Autism Awareness, Team-Teach, and more) to keep your skills sharp.
What We’re Looking For:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or ECT/NQT status (we love supporting Early Career Teachers!).
-
A strong grasp of the Primary National Curriculum.
-
Great classroom presence, adaptability, and a proactive attitude.
-
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through us).
-
A genuine passion for making every school day positive for young learners.
