Teaching Personnel are seeking a skilled and compassionate SEN HLTA to join a welcoming primary school in Trafford on a full-time basis, starting immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting pupils with complex Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing needs, global developmental delay and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned interventions and structured support sessions for pupils with SEN
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, adapting learning to meet individual needs
  • Support pupils with a range of complex needs, including communication and behavioural challenges
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering differentiated lessons
  • Lead lessons or activities in the teacher’s absence where required
  • Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
  • Use positive behaviour management techniques to support emotional regulation
  • Track, monitor, and report on pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, support staff, and external agencies

We are seeking candidates who:

  • Hold HLTA status or have relevant experience at a higher TA level
  • Have strong experience supporting children with complex SEN needs
  • Are confident delivering interventions and leading learning sessions
  • Have excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
  • Are patient, adaptable, and passionate about inclusive education
  • Can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
  • Have (or are willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
