PPA Teacher Required – Preston (PR2) | September Start (Full Academic Year)
Monday to Thursday | EYFS – Year 5 | Planning Time Included
Pay in line with AWR (Main Pay Scale)
A welcoming and well-established Primary School in Preston (PR2) is seeking a flexible and confident PPA Teacher to join their team from September for the full academic year.
This is a part-time role (Monday–Thursday) covering classes from EYFS through to Year 5. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting staff by providing high-quality teaching during PPA time. Planning time is built into the timetable, ensuring you are fully supported in delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of year groups.
This role would suit an adaptable and proactive teacher who enjoys variety and thrives in different classroom environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging lessons across EYFS to Year 5
- Adapting teaching approaches to suit a variety of age groups and learning needs
- Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment
- Liaising effectively with class teachers and support staff
- Providing feedback on pupil progress where required
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching across primary age ranges (EYFS–KS2 desirable)
- Confidence adapting to different classroom settings and routines
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to working Monday to Thursday for the full academic year

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
