KS2 Teacher Required – Fixed Term (Potential to Extend)
Location: Sunderland
Start Date: September 2026
Pay: £140–£170 per day (depending on experience), paid weekly

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our supportive and welcoming team in Sunderland for the first full term of the 2026–2027 academic year, with the potential for the role to extend through to July 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and organised practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning, while supporting the diverse needs of all pupils.

About the Role

  • Full-time KS2 class teacher position
  • Initially for the autumn term, with the possibility of extension
  • Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

SEND Experience

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience and confidence in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

  • The class includes two pupils with individual learning plans (ILPs)
  • Both pupils are supported by experienced Teaching Assistants
  • Strong collaboration with support staff and SENCO will be essential

  • Has experience working with SEND pupils, ideally within KS2
  • Can adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
