Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Availability: part-time
Pay: £83 - £100 a day (can be negotiated)
Location: Ealing, Northolt, Greenford, Wembley, Harrow.
Job Overview:
Teaching Personnel are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. Candidate will play a vital role in providing support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive in the educational environment. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for inclusive education and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Adapt and modify instructional materials to meet the unique needs of students
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the SEN coordinator and other stakeholders
- Support with behaviour management strategies and interventions
- Attend relevant training and professional development sessions
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in special education or related field
- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs
- Understanding of various learning difficulties and strategies to address them
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic educational environment
Additional requirements:
- DBS – Child work force only we don’t accept any other DBS
- Safeguarding – Level 2 CPD accredited certificate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
