Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Availability: part-time 

Pay: £83 - £100 a day (can be negotiated)

Location: Ealing, Northolt, Greenford, Wembley, Harrow.

Job Overview:

Teaching Personnel are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. Candidate will play a vital role in providing support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive in the educational environment. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for inclusive education and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Adapt and modify instructional materials to meet the unique needs of students
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the SEN coordinator and other stakeholders
  • Support with behaviour management strategies and interventions
  • Attend relevant training and professional development sessions

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in special education or related field
  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Understanding of various learning difficulties and strategies to address them
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic educational environment

Additional requirements:

  • DBS – Child work force only we don’t accept any other DBS
  • Safeguarding – Level 2 CPD accredited certificate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
