Role: PPA Cover Teacher (KS1 & KS2)

Duration: Long-Term flexible ad-hoc cover (After Easter Start)
Location: Across Salisbury
Pay Scale: £120 – £145 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you a teacher who wants to step away from full classroom responsibility but still make a real impact across the school? Several primary schools across Salisbury are looking for a dedicated PPA Cover Teacher to join their teams on a flexible ad-hoc basis after Easter.

Schools continuously need reliable PPA cover, and this is an ideal opportunity to work supported across the school, delivering lessons across KS1 and KS2 without the full-time pressures of a permanent class teacher role.

The Role:

  • Full-time, long-term PPA cover position starting after Easter
  • Delivering engaging lessons across KS1 and KS2
  • Supporting the school during teachers’ PPA time while maintaining continuity of learning
  • Creating a positive, supportive classroom environment across different year groups
  • Working closely with teaching staff and leadership to support pupils’ learning

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience teaching in KS1 and/or KS2 (experience across both is highly desirable)
  • Strong classroom management skills and flexibility across age groups
  • Ability to deliver meaningful, pre-planned lessons confidently
  • A proactive, supportive approach, enjoying work across the school rather than full classroom responsibility
  • A passion for helping children learn and thrive

Safeguarding & Vetting:

This role is offered through Teaching Personnel, and all applicants will be required to complete a full vetting process, including:

  • Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service)
  • In-depth safeguarding checks
  • Trusted professional references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
