Seeking Compassionate PMLD Teacher!

Are you a dedicated and passionate teacher with experience in supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)? If so, Teaching Personnel has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a PMLD Teacher!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons and learning experiences to meet the individual needs of students with PMLD
  • Utilise a range of multisensory and interactive teaching strategies to engage and motivate students
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists and occupational therapists, to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a sense of belonging and encourages students' personal and academic growth
  • Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification is essential
  • Experience working with students with PMLD or other complex needs is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of PMLD and its impact on learning and development
  • Adaptability and creativity in developing and modifying teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
