PE Teacher – Full-Time - Salford 
Location: Salford
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: M1 – UPS1 (in line with teacher pay scale)
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Age Range: 11–16 (Key Stage 3 & GCSE)


About the Role

We are partnering with a large, high-performing secondary school in Salford to recruit a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher for a September 2026 start.

This is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators to join a supportive and forward-thinking department committed to promoting physical activity, teamwork, and student wellbeing.


Key Responsibilities

As a PE Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Physical Education lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student performance in line with curriculum expectations
  • Encourage participation and promote healthy, active lifestyles
  • Differentiate activities to support students of varying abilities
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute to extracurricular sports and wider school activities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching PE up to GCSE level
  • A strong commitment to high-quality teaching and student engagement
