Phonics Intervention Teaching Assistant in Morecambe LA4
Based in Morecambe or willing to commute
Full-time role starting January 2026
Competitive pay depending on experience – £13.75 – £14.50
Experience supporting phonics and early reading development.
A small primary school in the Morecambe (LA4) area is looking for a Phonics Intervention Teaching Assistant to join their support team full-time, starting in January 2026. This role will run until the end of the academic year and requires a dedicated and patient individual who can help pupils make progress in their reading and phonics skills.
You will work with small groups and individual pupils across KS1 and lower KS2 who need additional support with phonics and early literacy. Prior experience delivering phonics interventions (e.g., Letters and Sounds, Read Write Inc., or similar schemes) will be essential. The right TA will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to helping children achieve their full potential.
This school has a supportive literacy lead and SEN team who will provide guidance and resources to help you succeed in your role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
