Personal Care Assistant - Birmingham

Are you interested in working with students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties or Physical Disabilities? Do you have Personal Care experience and an in-date Moving, Handling and Hoisting certificate? A large, well-resourced special educational needs school in Birmingham is urgently looking for personal care assistants to work alongside the teaching staff to provide both 1:1 and more generalized support to the students.

£65-70 per day

Immediate starts available

Requirements:

• An interest in working with students with PMLD and SLD
• A flexible and proactive approach
• Experience supporting students in personal care, moving, handling, and hoisting
• Willingness to provide Personal Care
• Existing DBS check on the update service or willing to apply for one
• Existing experience working with children or adults with SEND

Responsibilities:

• Assist and support with the development and learning of students within the school
• Provide 1:1 and general support to students according to requirements for the day
• Work alongside other teaching and support staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment is maintained
• Be responsible for ensuring school policies are upheld including behaviour policies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
