Performing Arts Teacher
Job description
We're working with a friendly and supportive secondary school in Heywood that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Performing Arts Teacher to join their team from January to cover a maternity leave.
You'll be teaching Performing Arts across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their performance skills while encouraging creativity, teamwork, and self-expression in a positive learning environment.
The role:
- Full-time maternity cover starting in January.
- Teaching Performing Arts across KS3 and KS4.
- Planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons.
- Assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback.
- Supporting students in developing confidence and a passion for the performing arts.
- Contributing to the wider life of the department and school where appropriate.
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS or is due to achieve Qualified Teacher Status.
- Is open to both experienced teachers and ECTs.
- Has experience teaching Performing Arts within UK secondary schools or through teaching placements.
- Has strong classroom management skills and a positive, proactive approach.
- Is passionate about helping students achieve their potential both in and out of the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
