PE TEACHER
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a PE teacher to work full time at a well-established Secondary School in Solihull. This will commence as soon as the ideal candidate has been recruited. The successful candidate will be qualified in secondary PE teaching and will have experience teaching within secondary school settings. As a PE teacher you will be responsible for educating children upon the importance of physical exercise and living a healthy lifestyle.
Location: Solihull, Birmingham
Hours: Full time
Pay rate: pay to scale on a long term position for fully qualified teachers, day-to-day varies between £150-200 dependent upon experience
Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Physical Education
- BA (hons) degree in PE
- Any additional sporting qualifications e.g. sports coaching
- Previous experience teaching PE or sports within an educational setting
- References to cover the last 24 months
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Role/Responsibility:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons to a range of ages and abilities
- Assess pupil progress on a regular basis providing feedback that encourages pupil development
- Encourage pupil participation and engagement within lessons
- Promote positive reinforcement and ensure a safe and positive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department to ensure it is high performing
- Adhere to schools policies and procedures at all times, ensuring safeguarding principles are at the pinnacle of your practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
