The Role
As a PE Teacher working through Teaching Personnel, you could be supporting schools across Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and the surrounding areas. Your responsibilities may include:
- Delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs and abilities of all students.
- Teaching a range of practical sports and developing students' physical skills and knowledge.
- Supporting students studying GCSE and vocational PE qualifications where required.
- Promoting teamwork, discipline, resilience and healthy lifestyles.
- Managing behaviour effectively and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Supporting extracurricular activities, sports clubs and school competitions where appropriate.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership teams.
We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
- Strong subject knowledge across PE and a range of sporting activities.
- Experience teaching PE at secondary level.
- Excellent classroom, behaviour and group management skills.
- The ability to engage, motivate and inspire students.
- A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
- A flexible, reliable and professional approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
