The Role

As a PE Teacher working through Teaching Personnel, you could be supporting schools across Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and the surrounding areas. Your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs and abilities of all students.
• Teaching a range of practical sports and developing students' physical skills and knowledge.
• Supporting students studying GCSE and vocational PE qualifications where required.
• Promoting teamwork, discipline, resilience and healthy lifestyles.
• Managing behaviour effectively and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Supporting extracurricular activities, sports clubs and school competitions where appropriate.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership teams.

We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
• Strong subject knowledge across PE and a range of sporting activities.
• Experience teaching PE at secondary level.
• Excellent classroom, behaviour and group management skills.
• The ability to engage, motivate and inspire students.
• A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
• A flexible, reliable and professional approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
