A welcoming and well-established mainstream secondary school in the BB4 area of Lancashire is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Physical Education to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for either a male or female PE specialist to become part of a supportive department and make a positive impact on pupils' engagement, achievement and wellbeing through sport and physical education.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging students to develop a lifelong appreciation for health, fitness and physical activity.

The Role:

• Full-time PE Teacher position.
• Start date: January 2027.
• Teaching PE across KS3 and KS4.
• Planning, preparing and assessing lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Contributing to extracurricular sports activities where appropriate.
• Opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting.
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.
• Be passionate about promoting participation, teamwork and achievement.
• Have excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Be committed to supporting students of all abilities to reach their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
