Are you an energetic and adaptable PE Teacher looking for flexible work across secondary schools in Wimbledon and the surrounding South West London areas?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a range of mainstream secondary schools who are seeking confident PE Teachers to provide last-minute and short-term cover, as well as longer-term support where required, ensuring high-quality physical education delivery when staff are absent.
About the Role

Teaching Physical Education across KS3–KS4
-
KS5 opportunities available depending on experience
-
Delivering pre-planned lessons or leading practical PE sessions
-
Roles available across Wimbledon, Merton, Kingston, Sutton, and surrounding areas
-
Day-to-day, short-term, and long-term roles available
-
Ideal for teachers open to early-morning (7am) calls for same-day cover
-
Full-time and part-time flexibility
What We’re Looking For
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
✔️ Degree in PE, Sports Science, or a related subject
✔️ Experience teaching PE in UK secondary schools
✔️ Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
✔️ Confident leading practical sessions and promoting student engagement
✔️ Flexibility and reliability, including availability for last-minute bookings
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
