The school

This school is an 3 - 16 mixed school that has around 300 pupils situated in Cardiff. The school have expressed their need for a Female PE Teacher to join their PE department and would welcome applications from NQT’s and experienced Teachers alike. The school are very proud of their sporting achievements inclusion for all pupils and all abilities.

The Role

As part of a strong PE department your main duties will include having a full timetable up to A-Level. Your Teaching will be covering pupils of mixed abilities, Including full teaching responsibilities planning and execution of lessons, marking, assessment, attending parents’ evenings and pastoral responsibilities for a form class. The school will welcome those Teachers who can Coach school sports teams and offer expert advice from their own sporting background. Coaching and managing sports teams including fixture arrangement and also planning and delivering training sessions can benefit the right PE teachers with the passion to coach.

The role is until the end of the academic year in the first instance with the position being reviewed and looked at with a potential permanent contract being offered the next academic year.

The Role:

  • Teacher applications welcome from all qualified Teachers including NQT’s
  • Pay inline with Welsh gov.t framework from £157 per day
  • The ability to teach mixed abilities of ages 3-16
  • Behaviour management skills are essential
  • Coaching experience is desirable in order to aid school sport
  • A Passion for Sport and wellbeing of young people through exercise and activity

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
